Godʼs Faithfulness Through Every Season

At this time of year in Zimbabwe, we feel the starkness of the dry season all around us; weʼre now halfway through it. These words bring great confidence to our work and to the message of Hope we proclaim: that our God is indeed faithful and unchanging. We long for children and young people across Zimbabwe to experience Gods̓ʼ grace and know His saving power in their lives as they learn about Him through His Word. In this issue, we're celebrating growth across our Catalyse Clubs and sharing stories from outreaches in Chimanimani and Chinhoyi. We're grateful to have you walking this journey with us.
Vision 2033
Our Vision 2033 is to catalyse a movement within the global church that engages every child and youth, in every generation, with Jesus through His
Word. Here in Zimbabwe, we’re excited to be part of this global movement, and we trust God for favour as we work alongside the local church. We believe God is already at work within the local church, and especially through young people themselves, as they grow more missional and intentional about their faith.

Equipping Leaders, Empowering Youth
Over the past few months, our volunteers have been actively training children and youth workers, casting vision with pastors, and encouraging young people to dig deeper into God’s Word in a practical way. This happens through a programme we call Catalyse Clubs, which are now running in different communities around the country

Voices from Our Catalyse Clubs
One of the greatest joys of our ministry is seeing young adults discover who they are in Christ and learn how God’s Word speaks into every area of their lives. Our programmes have created safe spaces where young people can ask questions, grow in their faith, and encourage one another as they navigate the challenges of adulthood. Here’s some of the feedback we’ve received from one of our Catalyse Clubs:
As a leader, I valued how the material provided a strong starting point for discussion while allowing a team of leaders, young adults themselves, to facilitate sessions, fostering ownership and active participation in the group. The series was grounded in strengthening identity in Christ before exploring passion, career and business, which was especially practical. We are each children of God, given a responsibility to work and be productive. The sessions on confidence, our “God-fidence” and on collaboration stood out, emphasising trust in God’s placement and the importance of not journeying alone.

Called To Thrive did a great job addressing issues that genuinely relate to young adults today, while linking them to Scripture in fairly meaningful ways. I think the way the course was structured offered a great platform for participants to discuss these issues in captivating and interesting ways. I also really liked how cohesive the topics were, building on top of each other and moving from theory to practical. Overall, the message was clear and grounded in Scripture, which was great and very applicable to my life as a young adult

Called to Responsibility stood out the most for me. I really got to understand what it means to be responsible for my actions, in the context of Christ and everyone around me. Called to Understanding was also great, and helpful in answering questions like: who made me? Do I have a problem? If there’s good news, what is my problem? And how do I come to solve it?

Film Showing & Outreach
Film showing has become a vital addition to our outreach, alongside our focus on distributing resources to both schools and churches across different areas.
Chimanimani – Chinamora – Chinhoyi – Domboshava – Chitungwiza – High Glen – Glen Norah
One of our significant new partnerships has been with Awana, working together into several primary schools in High Glen, Harare. Due to large school enrolments the films are shown outdoors, allowing hundreds of children to participate at once. Despite the challenges, the children watch with great enthusiasm and engage eagerly with the Gospel message being shared.
Chimanimani: A Weekend of Impact
One of the highlights of the past few months was our outreach in Chimanimani. We had an amazing three days in Chimanimani and saw countless smiles and over 3,600 lives impacted through outreaches with our local partners! A big ‘Thank you’ to Kushinga, Kwirire, Chimanimani Junior and Runyararo Primary. The best part is that the transformation is ongoing! Our trainers on the ground are already tracking progress through follow-up sessions with the classes.
Our desire has never been simply to host successful events. We long to see children and young people become lifelong disciples of Jesus….growing in their faith, building meaningful relationships and learning to walk faithfully with Him every day.

Chinhoyi: Sport for the Gospel
In Chinhoyi, one of our trainers gathered a team of young people to do gospel evangelism, using the World Cup soccer season as an opportunity to share the gospel.
Our afternoon was spent at Nemakonde Grounds, where we took part in a soccer outreach tournament involving four teams, six coaches and approximately 120 spectators. We used sport as a platform for ministry, intentionally sharing the Gospel before kick-off and during match intervals, so that every tournament remained Christ-centred and church-driven. During the outreach, we distributed copies of The True Champion, engaging players, coaches and spectators with the message of salvation. In total, over 200 people were reached through this ministry.
We concluded the weekend with a screening of the film The Godman, attended by just over 100 young people. The film provided another opportunity to present the Gospel, encouraging those in attendance to place their hope and faith in Jesus Christ. We are deeply grateful to God for His faithfulness throughout the two-day outreach. From the streets to the sports field and the film screenings, He opened doors for His Word to be proclaimed and His love to be demonstrated. We thank every volunteer, partner and prayer supporter who made this outreach possible. We pray that every seed sown will take root, producing lasting fruit for the glory of God.

Masawara Expo: Reaching Youth with the Gospel
We’re always looking for opportunities to engage children and young people wherever they gather. Recently, our MMV trainers attended the Masawara School Expo Career Day, where 14 primary schools and 18 high schools were in attendance. While students explored future careers and educational opportunities, our team was able to have meaningful conversations about a deeper purpose, helping young people discover their identity, purpose and value in Jesus Christ. It was a wonderful reminder that every setting can become an opportunity to share God’s love and point young people towards their Creator.
Gospel-Centred Ministry
As we look back on what God has been doing, we are filled with gratitude for your partnership and prayers. Thank you for standing with us in this gospel work. July has been a busy and exciting month with a number of pastors’ vision-casting sessions, trainings for children and youth workers, and ongoing film showings. Our heart and desire are to envision and equip the local church for the vital work of passing the baton to the next generation – raising up a missional generation on fire for Jesus, who love His Word and walk in obedience to His ways. At the end of May, in partnership with Athletes in Action, we hosted a children and youth workers’ training in Harare. The training encouraged churches to use opportunities created through sport, particularly during the World Cup soccer season in June and July, as a platform to share the gospel and help young people engage deeply with the truth found in God’s Word. A number of churches were inspired and excited about this initiative, and we thank God for the open doors and searching hearts within our communities.

Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always.

Praise for the hunger in churches to grow in their children and youth ministry, and praise to God for the opportunities we have to train volunteers.
Pray for pastors to be excited by the vision of raising up a missional generation among our youth.
Pray for openings and opportunities to grow discipleship amongst our youth through our Catalyse Clubs.
Pray for grassroots financial support to build our ministry, and for the capacity to increase our reach across the country.
Pray for new openings to show films with a strong gospel message in schools and communities.
Pray for our application through MMV for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with government to be successful, enabling us to support life skills and agriculture curricula in primary and secondary schools across the country.
A Final Word...
Romans 15 : 13 reminds us:
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
